The list includes two seamen first class, two seamen second class, and two seamen third class; four quartermasters; and two stokers. It is dated in Pola, November 2, 1917, and signed by the officer in command and the ship's accounting manager. S.M. Dampfer VIII. Kalis/Kohl No. 3 [type DL 1b, but 67 mm x 5 mm] violet
1914 S.M. Dampfer IX (ex Baron Call) osztrák magyar szállító hadihajó Az augusztus hónapban felmerült vagy kifizetett hajózási költségek bizonylata. Kézzel írt ritka hajópecséttel. / S.M. Dampfer IX (ex Baron Call) / Proof of Ship Expenses Incurred or Paid in the Month of August. Very rare, possibly unique document evidencing amounts paid to three different individuals between July 28 and August 31, presumably in 1914, the only month when Baron Call was requisitioned by the k.u.k. Kriegsmarine as S.M. Dampfer IX. The names include that of Nikolaus Cosulich, probably a member of the well-known Trieste shipping family that owned the Austro-Americana shipping line company. The document's left and right margins appear to have been clipped and, unfortunately, its full date and the name of the commanding officer are missing, but the signature of the ship's accounting manager is fully legible.

It lists wages deposited and amounts owed in connection with seamen's outfits. The exact nature of the "Guests" shown on the list is interesting. Seal: S. M. Dampfer V Kalis/Kohl does not list this seal as having been used on S.M. Dampfer V.

Az asztalnál ülő tisztek előtt egy matróz áll, aki a fizetésére vár. Érdekes sztereofotó feliratozva 18x9 cm / Three-dimensional pair of cardboard-mounted photographs showing sailors payday proceedings. Two officers and a seaman are seated at a table with papers and stacks of coins. A sailor stands before them waiting to be paid while others mill about. German handwritten notation on the back is illegible.
