Antonio Averlino, művésznevén Filarete (1400-1469 körül) firenzei születésű olasz építész, építészeti szakíró, 25 fejezetből álló olasz értekezése az itáliai reneszánsz architektúra fontos elméleti műve. Kétnyelvű kötetünk szövegét oldalszámozáson belül néhány szövegközti és egész oldalas ábra kíséri. Az építészeti munka első német kiadása 1890-ben jelent meg.
A lapszéleken és az előzékeken enyhe foltosság.
(Quellenschriften für Kunstgeschichte und Kunsttechnik des Mittelalters und der Neuzeit. Neue Folge, III. Band.) Enyhén elszíneződött korabeli félpergamen kötésben, az aranyozott címfelirat a gerincen zöld címkén.
