1955-1971. "Coupe Int. des Villes de Foires (Vásárvárosok kupája)" zománcozott bronz labdarúgó jelvény (18mm). A VVK-t 1955-ben hozták létre, s kezdetben nem (csak) klubok szerepeltek a sorozatban, hanem főleg a "vásárvárosok" csapatainak legjobbjaiból verbuvált válogatottak. A városi válogatottak szép lassan elkezdtek kikopni; míg az első tornán résztvevő 12 csapatból nyolc városi válogatott volt, addig az 1963-1964-ben induló 32 együttesből már csak egyetlen városi válogatott maradt, Koppenhágáé - s ez volt az utolsó szezon, mikor városi csapat indult. Az első torna 1955 és 1958 között három éven át(!) zajlott, ekkor az FC Barcelona diadalmaskodott. A következő, 1958-1960 között rendezett tornán szerepelt első magyar csapatként az Újpesti Dózsa, amelyet a zágrábi válogatott állított meg a nyolcaddöntőben. Máig a VVK az egyetlen UEFA-rendezésű sorozat, amit magyar csapat meg tudott nyerni: 1965-ben a Ferencváros diadalmaskodott 1-0-ra az olasz Juventus ellen. A Fradi három évvel később ismét eljutott a döntőbe, ám ekkor a Leeds United jobbnak bizonyult. A következő idényben ismét magyar finalista volt az Újpest személyében, ám ők is elvéreztek angol ellenfelük ellen; a Newcastle 6-2-es összesítéssel szerezte meg a trófeát. A Fradin és az Újpesten kívül az MTK tudott szép eredményt elérni, 1961-1962-ben az elődöntőig jutottak. A vidéki magyar klubok közül még a Rába ETO és a Pécsi Dózsa jutott be a sorozatba. A VVK-t egészen 1971-ig rendezték (az utolsó győztes a Leeds United volt), ekkor felváltotta az UEFA Kupa (amelyet ma Európa Ligaként ismerünk). T:UNC / 1955-1971. The ICFC was established in 1955, and initially not only clubs participated in the series, but mainly teams recruited from the best players of the "fair cities". The city teams slowly began to fade away; while eight of the 12 teams participating in the first tournament were city teams, in 1963-1964, out of the 32 teams participating, only one city team remained, Copenhagen - and this was the last season when a city team participated. The first tournament lasted for three years (!) between 1955 and 1958, and FC Barcelona triumphed. To this day, the ICFC is the only UEFA-organized series that a Hungarian team has been able to win: in 1965, Ferencváros triumphed 1-0 against the Italian Juventus. Sárosi György (1912-1993) magyar válogatott labdarúgó, a Ferencváros híres csatára. A Fradiban 383 bajnoki mérkőzésen 351 gólt szerzett, 1931 és 1948 közötti felnőtt pályafutása során végig az FTC-ben futballozott. A bajnoki címet és a Magyar Kupát egyaránt öt alkalommal hódította el a zöld-fehérekkel, de egy ízben megnyerték a Közép-Európa Kupát is. Háromszoros magyar gólkirály, 1941-ben az év labdarúgója Magyarországon, 1946-tól az FTC örökös bajnoka. A magyar válogatottban 1931 és 1943 között 62 alkalommal lépett pályára, s összesen 42 gólt szerzett. A nemzeti csapattal részt vett az 1934-es olaszországi, és az 1938-as franciaországi Világbajnokságon is, előbbin a negyeddöntőig jutott a magyar csapat, utóbbin ezüstérmet szerzett. Labdarúgó-pályafutása után edzőként helyezkedett el, 1948-tól 1977-ig Olaszországban több klubnál is dolgozott, többek között az AS Bari, a Juventus, a Genoa, az AS Roma, a Bologna és a Brescia is bizalmat szavazott neki. György Sárosi (1912-1993) was a Hungarian football player, a famous striker of Ferencváros. He scored 351 goals in 383 league matches for Fradi, and played for the club throughout his adult career between 1931 and 1948. He won the league title and the Hungarian Cup five times with the Ferencváros, and they also won the Central European Cup once. Three-time Hungarian top scorer, Footballer of the Year in Hungary in 1941, and from 1946 the perpetual champion of the FTC. He played 62 times for the Hungarian national team between 1931 and 1943, scoring a total of 42 goals in these matches. He participated with the national team in the 1934 World Cup in Italy and the 1938 World Cup in France. In the former, the Hungarian team reached the quarter-finals, and in the latter, they won a silver medal.. After his football career, he became a coach, and from 1948 to 1977 he worked for several clubs in Italy, including AS Bari, Juventus, Genoa, AS Roma, Bologna and Brescia.
