Összeütve őket csodásan egyedülálló, a tingshára jellemző magas hangot adnak. Gyakran díszítik a tibeti 8 szerencsejellel, vagy mantrával, legtöbbször az Om Mani Padme Hung felirattal, így a hangszer mély, spirituáis jellegét erősítik. "
