S. M. D. Böós is shown here helping raise the MFTR passenger steamer Erzsebeth Kiralyné, sunk by Serbian gunfire behind Ogradina Island on August 19, 1914. The ship had a most unfortunate history. She was launched on June 20, 1912, but was sabotaged and burnt down at Rossova before she could be completed. She was rebuilt at the MFTR?s shipyard in Orsova in 1914. Immediately before the outbreak of the war she was moved behind Ogradina Island, where Serbian artillery sank her. 2 photos on a cartboard Megjegyzés:
