Német Szövetségi Köztársaság 1989. "DFB-Pokalsieger 24. Juni 1989 (Német Kupa győztese 1989. június 24.)" kétoldalas, jelzett Ag emlékérem kapszulában, tanúsítvánnyal (15g/0.999/35mm). Az érem előoldalán a döntő helyszíne, a Német Kupa, alatta pedig a berlini Olympiastadion látható, a hátoldalon pedig a győztes klub, a Borussia Dortmund címere. A dortmundiak számára a kupamenetelés az 1. fordulóban hazai pályán a Braunschweig 6-0-s legyőzésével kezdődött, majd a Homburgot győzték le szintén otthon, 2-1-re. A nyolcaddöntő következett, ahol a Ruhr-vidéki derbin a Schalke ellen idegenben nyertek 3-2-re, majd a negyeddöntőben ismét hazai pályán, a Karlsruhe elleni 1-0-s győzelemmel jutottak tovább. Az elődöntőben a Stuttgart ellen megint a Westfalenstadionban győztek, így jöhetett a nyugat-berlini finálé, ahol a Werder Brement 4-1-re győzték le, így történetük során második kupagyőzelmüket ünnepelhették.

The obverse of the medal shows the venue of the final, the German Cup, and below it the Olympiastadion in Berlin, while the reverse shows the coat of arms of the winning club, Borussia Dortmund. For Dortmund, the cup run began in the 1st round with a 6-0 home win over Braunschweig, then they defeated Homburg, also at home, 2-1. The round of 16 followed, where they won 3-2 away against Schalke in the Ruhr derby, and then in the quarter-finals they advanced again with a 1-0 home win over Karlsruhe. They won the semi-final against Stuttgart again at the Westfalenstadion, which allowed them to reach the final in West Berlin, where they defeated Werder Bremen 4-1, thus celebrating their second cup victory in their history.
