A képeslapot 1934. március 1-jén adták postára, feladója a kor ünnepelt színésznője, Gaál Franciska, aki két nappal később lépett színpadra A Vörös Bestia (írta: Vaszary János) premierjén a Vígszínházban. A darabot a lapok szerint hangos siker fogadta, Gaál mellett az egyik főszereplő Jávor Pál volt. Gaál Franciska 1945 után egyre kevesebb szerepet kapott, 1947-ben Amerikába költözött, ahol elfeledve hunyt el 1972-ben. A képeslap címzettje Losonczy Gusztáv, a kávés ipartestület ügyvezető igazgatója.

The postcard was posted on March 1, 1934, and was sent by the celebrated actress of the time, Franciska Gaál, who two days later took to the stage at the premiere of A Vörös Bestia (written by János Vaszary) at the Vígszínház. According to the newspapers, the play was a resounding success, and one of the main characters, besides Gaál, was Pál Jávor. After 1945, Franciska Gaál received fewer and fewer roles, and in 1947 she moved to America, where she died forgotten in 1972. The recipient of the postcard was Gusztáv Losonczy, the executive director of the coffee industry association.
