Sir Ernest Alfred Thompson Wallis Budge (1857-1934) angol egyiptológus, orientalista és filológus, a British Museum munkatársa, aki számos művet publikált az ókori Közel-Keletről. A British Museum megbízásából számos utat tett Egyiptomba és az Angol-egyiptomi Szudánba, hogy régiségeket vásároljon, és segítsen felépíteni British Museum gyűjteményét.1920-ban lovaggá ütötték az egyiptológia és a British Museum szolgálatáért.
