Polgár Rózsa (1936-2014) Kossuth- és Munkácsy Mihály-díjas textilművész, a Széchenyi Irodalmi és Művészeti Akadémia alapítótagja részére 1999-ben adományozott Kossuth-díj szobra. Aranyozott és ezüstözött réz hengeren aranyozott Kossuth Lajos szobor, bársonybélésű fa tartótokban, m: 34,5 cm, tok m: 39 cm.

A Kossuth-díj Magyarország egyik legrangosabb állami kitüntetése, amelyet 1948-ban alapítottak Kossuth Lajos emlékére. Az elismerést azok a művészek, tudósok és alkotók kaphatják meg, akik kiemelkedő teljesítményükkel maradandó értéket teremtettek a magyar kultúra, művészet vagy tudomány területén. A díj célja, hogy példát állítson a nemzet számára, és elismerje azokat, akik munkájukkal gazdagítják Magyarország szellemi örökségét.
A Kossuth-díjat hagyományosan március 15-én, az 1848-49-es forradalom és szabadságharc évfordulóján adják át.

The aim of the prize is to set an example for the nation and to recognize those whose work enriches Hungary?s intellectual and cultural heritage.
The Kossuth Prize is traditionally awarded on 15 March, the anniversary of the 1848?49 Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence.
