Kínai bronztükör, másolat, d: 14,5cm "Kínában a bronztükör (tung-csing) a mindennapok nélkülözhetetlen használati cikkének számított egészen az üvegtükör megjelenéséig. A régészeti feltárások során napvilágra került nagyszámú lelet azt mutatja, hogy nemcsak a szépítkezésnek, de a temetési szertartásoknak is fontos kelléke volt. A telihold jelképének tartották, de a néphit démonokat, kísérteteket távoltartó erőt is tulajdonít neki, éppen ezért pl. a házasság alkalmával sohasem hiányozhatott a mennyasszony nyakából."
