Japanese-made postcard with space on the front and back for the address and a message. There is no message and no address, however. Instead, three seamen from S.M.S. Kaiserin und Königin Maria Theresia decided to use it to paste a photograph as a memento of their service in the Far East at the time of the Boxer Rebellion.

It lists wages deposited and amounts owed in connection with seamen's outfits. The exact nature of the "Guests" shown on the list is interesting. Seal: S. M. Dampfer V Kalis/Kohl does not list this seal as having been used on S.M. Dampfer V.

Dampfer V. osztrák magyar szállító hadihajó kifizetett táppénz nyugta / Official receipt for 79.80 Kronen, which is the agreed-upon fair amount received up front from the cash register of the ship for 35 sick bed/days, at 2.28 Kr., administered by the officers' mess in November according to the agreement with the catering commission. On the back, there is a breakdown of the 35 bed/days in relation to two crewmembers, one of whom spent the entire month of November 1916 in the hospital. Seal" S. M. Mietdampfer V.

ca 1917 S.M.D. X. osztrák magyar szállító hadihajó ellátmányokat listázó nyomtatvány az ellátmányok részletes felsorolásával és a szakirodalomban ismeretlen kézzel írt hajópecséttel, elírt dátummal / S.M.D. X. The document appears to be an official listing of the food supplies (32 different items) paid for by the ship's treasury (4,255.99 kronen) and listed on the back. In addition to usual items such as bread, hard tack (Zwieback), wine, rice, sugar, different kinds of meat, etc., I notice (at line 6) nine pounds of Kriegs-Kaffee (burnt barley and acorns) at 2.50 kronen per pound. It would have been interesting to know the correct date of this document: many articles that would disappear by 1917 were still available, including real coffee, one pound of which was purchased (at line 24) for 8.50 kronen, presumably for the officers' mess. Seal: handwritten Dampfer X Kalis/Kohl does not list the use of the handwritten ship's name. Liebehaberpreis!!
