Jelen aukciónkon licitálható, úgynevezett "Kabinet-sor" az Artex Külkereskedelmi Vállalat terméke volt. Az 1960-as években kezdték el a régi, magyar történelmi érmék utánvereteit árusítani, elsősorban külföldön, olyan keményvalutákért, mint a nyugatnémet Márka, vagy az amerikai Dollár. A "Kabinet-sort" 1966-ban és 1967-ben is elkészítették, mindkét évben nagyjából 5-5 ezer darabot, amelyet főleg az Egyesült Államokban árusítottak, így hazai gyűjtők kezébe nagyon kevés jutott el. A sor az akkori pénzrendszer forgalmi érméiből állt, de az alumíniumból készült Fillér érméket alpakkából, míg a Forint érméket ezüstből készítették el, így téve különlegessé ezt a sort. Külön érdekesség, hogy a Magyar Köztársaság címerével, az úgynevezett "Kossuth-címerrel" készült 1947-es 5 Forintost verték újra 1967-ben, ugyancsak Magyar Köztársaság felirattal és címerrel, míg az összes többi érmén a Népköztársaság felirat és a Kádár-címer szerepel, utóbbi a tokon is megtalálható. The so-called "Cabinet set", that can be bid at our current auction, was a product of Artex Foreign Trade Company. In the 1960s, they started selling restrikes of old, Hungarian historical coins, primarily abroad, for hard currencies such as the West German Mark or the American Dollar. The "Cabinet sets" was produced in 1966 and 1967, with approximately 5,000 pieces in each year, which were sold mostly in the United States, so very few of them ended up in the hands of Hungarian collectors. The series consisted of circulation coins of the monetary system of the time, but the aluminium Fillér coins were made of alpacca in these sets, and the Forint coins were made of silver, making this set special. It is particularly interesting that the 1947 5 Forint coin with the coat of arms of the Republic of Hungary 1946-1949, was re-minted in 1967, also with the inscription and coat of arms of "Republic of Hungary", while all other coins bear the inscription "People's Republic" and the Kádár coat of arms, the latter of which can also be found on the case.
