1916 Ruse, Rousse, Rusze, Russe, Roustchouk, Rustschuk; KULPA kórházhajó, matrózokkal, katonákkal és nővérrel a fedélzeten / WWI Austro-Hungarian Navy, KULPA hospital ship, mariners, soldiers and nurse on board. During the First World War KULPA steamship was requisitioned and outfitted as a hospital ship in the K.u.K. Kriegsmarine Danube Fleet (Donauflottille) in July 1914. SM Spitalschiff KULPA's first two captains were civilian employees of the DDSG, while the physicians appear to have been navy officers. Kulpa was returned to the DDSG on April 18, 1917, and eventually scrapped in 1924. photo
